Spring Flower Show: Don’t miss the club’s entry in the flower show of an "East Bay Window, " chaired by Joyce Holster.

Plant Sale: The annual Spring Plant Sale at the NRT Sheep Pasture will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2000 from 9:00am to 1:00pm this year. This is a change from the date in you garden club program books. NRT Chairperson, Nancy Cohenno is seeking volunteers to cut pussy willows for the sale. Give her a call if you can help out on a picking party.

EGC Show: The Easton Garden Club cable show has been changed back to its former timeslot of Thursdays at 6:30pm.

Mass Gardens on Tour, 2000: The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts "Gardens on Tour, 2000" will feature two days on tour in Easton. On July 12th and 13th the gardens featured will be the gardens of Unity Close, the xeroscape garden at the Water Department, the garden of Jean and Dan Churchill and a tour of Borderland. The EGC will be decorating the mansion with floral arrangements for the theme of the tour which is "A Floral Palate." Anyone interested in either helping out with readying the gardens for tour (in June), or doing an arrangement (either alone or with a partner) for the mansion, please contact Gloria Freitas or Davie McNamara. We will also be asking for hostess volunteers. To order tickets call toll free 1-877-436-8688.

New Member Tea: The annual tea for new members hosted by the executive board will be held on Sunday, March 26th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the home of Rosemary Sinesi. All new members who joined the club from March 1 of 1999 are invited and will be receiving invitations by mail. For questions contact membership chairperson, Marybeth Meyer.

Art in Bloom: Our annual trip in to see "Art in Bloom" at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, with Gloria Freitas as our guide, will be Wednesday, April 26th. We will meet at the North Easton Village Shops at 8:30am. More details to follow in April.

Lost and Found: A red "Members Only" jacket was found at a workshop last year at the home of Gloria Freitas. If you have lost it and would like to claim it, please contact Kay Ryan.

Garden Gloves: Our garden gloves are coming! Don’t be tempted by others of inferior quality…our gloves will be here and available for the low cost of $8.00 very soon. This should be a terrific fundraiser for the club, so be sure to tell your neighbors and family members, or stock up on a few pairs for gifts!

Our deepest condolences go out to the family of Enis Almquist. She was a dear friend and a member of the garden club for many years. We will all miss her energy and exuberance for gardening and life.
