If you wish to remain a member of the Easton Garden Club you must remit your dues of $15.00 for active members and $35 for associate members. If there is a "happy face" sticker on the front (address side) of your "Country Clippings" newsletter, then we do not have a record of your payment of dues for this year. Please see Membership chairperson Marybeth Meyer to settle your account. Those members who have not cleared up their debt or mis-recorded debt by November 1st will no longer receive the monthly mailing.

Monthly Raffles: The raffles that are often held at the monthly meetings when we have left over flowers and arrangements from speakers, etc. will now be offered to the attendees of the meeting at no charge. When there will be a raffle following the presentation, each member in attendance will be given one ticket for the raffle.

E-Mail: As we are entering the 21st century, the Easton Garden Club is compiling a list of e-mail addresses of the membership. When complete they will be printed up as inserts for your EGC books. Please contact Nancy Cohenno at the next meeting or by phone if you would like your e-mail address to be included.

Christmas House Tour: The designing and planning for the Langwater house tour are in full force. NRT FAIR WRAP UP

The fair was a huge success this year. The totals will all be tallied for announcement at the October general meeting. It was our most profitable year yet. Thanks to everybody that had a part in our success from the "pickers" to the arrangers, to the cooks, to the "slaves" that I ordered around constantly. Our September meeting/workshop produced 38 grapevine wreaths, 4 artemesia wreaths, 8 sea lavender wreaths, and hundreds of price tags. I had much positive feedback from the workshop and many people want us to have a workshop every September. I think that can be arranged. The quality of the wreaths and bouquets produced this year was phenomenal. We had very talented people in my garage. Special thanks go to the bittersweet leaf and lunaria "skin" removers. We had a bumper crop of these and the ladies were very pleasant about the removal. Just when they were through removing the leaves, more would arrive. I also want to thank the McNamara's for the use of their horse trailer for the week. I believe this helped our wreaths, bouquets, and bunches arrive in super condition. The setup Saturday went smoothly. Sunday flew by with great speed. The food for breakfast and lunch was delicious. The workers were very busy, and the money just flew in!

I am very pleased with all the support from our members since I have been the NRT Chairperson. Many of the tasks associated with this project are not the most glamorous, and I feel that you all are a pretty great bunch for doing the menial and messy things that I asked. I will surely miss running this event. But, don't worry, as I will still be a big part of the fair. I am looking forward to my new position in August. Thank you all for making the fair a success over the years.

Nancy
